Reel to Real teams up with J-Site for Spring 2011

Reel to Real:
A program for teens and seniors

8th through 12th grade teens:
Do you like film and Jewish culture?  Are you interested in doing a mitzvah by spending time with seniors?  Do you need community service hours for school?
Reel to Real is a great way to watch interesting Jewish-themed films and participate in community service at the same time.   Each month the teens meet with seniors at senior living facilities to watch a film together.  Following each film, teens lead a discussion with the seniors.   Conversations are moderated by Lauren Braun from JFilm: The Pittsburgh Jewish Film Forum.

The Reel to Real class at J-SITE will meet on January 23, February 13, March 6, April 3 (as part of J-SERVE) and May 1st from 1:00-3:00pm at area assisted living facilities.

To register for this class please call 412-521-1101 ext. 3203 or email bgoldstein@ajlpittsburgh.org.
